It's NYCxDesign Week here in NYC which is a city-wide celebration of all things design. There are hundreds of events, many of which are open to the public, that seek to drive awareness to emerging design as well as to inspire the designer within us all.
For our purposes at Spruce + Furn, these events give us the opportunity to see aspirational interior designs as well as the chance to do some serious Furn(iture) Scouting for our clients. Over the next week or so, we will share some of our favorite finds here on the blog and via our Instagram account.
To start, we kicked off the week last weekend at Brooklyn Designs, a design fair focused on spotlighting Brooklyn-made home furnishings. Some of our favorite finds included:
Nuala Workshop
Modern, sophisticated shapes in luxe finishes. A must see for a urban, contemporary spaces. Our favorite pieces were the Float Bookshelf (a great room divider!) and the chic, Misha Chairs.
Robert Sukrachand
It's all in the details with these simple, yet stunning pieces in modern silhouettes that will stand the test of time. You have to see the Walnut Cabinet live to really understand the time that goes into creating it.
Bole Road Textiles
Liven up any space with these beautiful, hand designed and hand stitched pillows + throws in cheerful colors. Both the patterns and the fair trade practices will make you feel good.
Think Fabricate
These unique pieces in clean, modern shapes will transform your space - literally. From the seating area that seamlessly shifts to a bed to the entertainment console that houses a secret desk, this line is perfect for New Yorkers looking to make the most of their square footage.
Charming prints for casual spaces and rooms that need a little more color...
Since visiting Bklyn Designs, we've also been to Wanted Design Manhattan, Sight Unseen Offsite and Design Junction New York edit and we are actually heading to ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair) right now. Stay up to date on our favorite furn(ishing) finds via our Instagram account!
Cheers!
